Not Just Worn. Felt.
I didn’t start '97-MOTIFS to sell clothes. I started it because I couldn’t find anything that felt like me. Most fashion felt like performance. Pretty but distant. Loud but hollow. I wanted something quieter, closer, something that spoke the language of becoming. Not perfection. Not polish. Just presence.
At '97-MOTIFS, we create with emotion. Every piece is made-to-order, not just because it’s sustainable but because it’s personal. Our prints are a little offbeat, our silhouettes a little soft, and our process deeply human. We work with our hands, our instincts, and with real people in mind, not just mood-boards.
The turning point? A call with a client. She asked us to reimagine a print in a way that didn’t exist yet, different colour, different shape, a piece made entirely for her. We said yes. And somewhere between sketches, fabric trials, and fittings, something changed. She wasn’t just buying a garment. She was reclaiming how she wanted to be seen.
That call changed everything. It reminded us that clothes aren’t just worn. They’re felt.
So now we design like that’s the point. For people figuring it out. For the ones in-between, in process, in bloom. Because fashion should never demand you to be more. It should remind you that you already are.
We’re not here to impress you.
We’re here to see you.
And to offer you a wardrobe that feels like home.
